Mark Bauer is a professor of law at Stetson University College of Law in Florida. His primary teaching and scholarly interests focus on consumer protection and antitrust law. He has also published extensively on the doctrines of real property and administrative law. At Stetson, Prof. Bauer has served administrative terms as associate dean for academic affairs and as director of the Center for Elder Justice. Before entering academia, he worked for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. After leaving government practice, Prof. Bauer handled consumer protection and antitrust law at two large Chicago law firms. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago and his Juris Doctor from Emory University. He is the author of numerous law review articles and the coauthor of two student textbooks. Prof. Bauer’s current projects include a skills-based consumer protection curriculum and a program for law students that focuses on legal cultural competency and financial literacy.
