USIEF Hosts Pre-Departure Orientation for Fulbright-Nehru Grantees (2026–2027) in Kochi, Kerala

USIEF hosted the Pre-Departure Orientation in Kochi, Kerala, for the 2026–2027 cohort of Indian Fulbright-Nehru grantees on August 7–8, 2026. The orientation prepared scholars for their academic and professional experiences in the United States through discussions on academic life, cultural engagement, and the roles and responsibilities of Fulbright scholars. Representing 23 Indian states and Union Territories, the scholars will undertake research, teaching, and academic collaboration at universities across the United States. Many of their projects align with key India–U.S. priorities in areas including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, advanced materials, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing. As they begin this next chapter, we wish all our Fulbright scholars a rewarding and transformative experience in the United States. We look forward to their contributions to strengthening the longstanding educational, research, and cultural partnership between India and the United States.
