Gaurav Laha
Brief Bio:

Mr. Gaurav Laha is an English announcer with All India Radio, the national public radio broadcaster of India. He holds a master’s degree in English and was a panel speaker at the plenary session of the 2018 National Seminar on Revisiting Higher Education, Culture Studies, English Language & Literature Teaching.

A seasoned corporate training professional with unparalleled experience in English language teaching, L&D, voice and accent, public speaking, soft skills, and communication skills training, Mr. Laha has worked as an in-house trainer with reputed multinational companies. He has contributed to the development of English curricula followed in government schools of Delhi. His belief in women’s empowerment led him to become the youngest communication instructor for the award-winning all-women cabin crew of one of Asia’s largest airlines.

Mr. Laha has a keen interest in cross-cultural interaction and taught Japanese learners English for two years. He is a talented singer and a tabla player of the Benares Gharana. He believes that Hindi cinema and songs from yesteryear truly reflect India’s culture and way of life.

As a Fulbright fellow, Mr. Laha seeks to strengthen the bond of friendship between India and America. He is teaching American students the everyday usage of Hindi and bettering their understanding of life in India. The experience of living, teaching, and studying in the U.S. is enhancing his knowledge of American culture and advanced teaching methodologies, thereby making him a global citizen and world class educator.
