Indian Fulbright-Nehru Alumnus becomes member of Indian Statistical Institute’s Governing Council

Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Program, 2011-12 alumnus, Srinivasa Taduri has been appointed as Professor-In-Charge of all the Theoretical Statistics and Mathematics departments of Indian Statistical Institute. Thus he has also become a member of the governing council of the Indian Statistical Institute, responsible for formulating research and teaching policy. ISI is a premier research institute of national importance. Following his Fulbright-Nehru tenure, Taduri edited a special issue in June 2012 and joined the Editorial committee of Operators and Matrices, a reputed international Mathematics Journal. He was also an invited speaker at the annual meeting of the Ramanujan Mathematical Society held in October at Delhi.

 

Head of the ISI in Bengaluru, Taduri worked on Functional Analysis during his Fulbright-Nehru tenure at the Southern Illinois Univeristy in Edwardsville.
