INDIAN FULBRIGHT ALUMNI COORDINATE SEMINAR ON KNOWLEDGE SHARING

DELHI, India: On November 1st 2012, Fulbright Information Science and Technology program, 2003-04 alumnus Dr. Ramesh C. Gaur and Fulbright Library and Information Science program, 1993-94 alumnus Dr. R. K. Sharma jointly coordinated a seminar on ‘Knowledge Sharing on Sustainable Development: Role of Libraries’. The one day national seminar, held in three sessions, brought together academicians, librarians, journalists and representatives of international organizations and government bodies to deliberate on the theme.

 

During his Fulbright tenure Gaur worked on library automation and networked services at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. He is currently the university librarian at JNU. Sharma researched at the Graduate School of Library & Information Science, Simmons College, Boston, as a Fulbright fellow. At present, he is the librarian at UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan.
