Indian Fulbright-Nehru Alumnus Collaborates with US Counterparts on Public Health Concerns

Rajib Dasgupta an alumnus of the 2010-11 Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research program was invited by the Center for Health Policy and Ethics, Creighton University, Omaha in collaboration with University of Nebraska Medical Center to deliver a series of lectures on various Public Health issues. Dasgupta used this initiative sponsored by the Fulbright CIES Occasional Lecturer Fund, along with his counterparts in the U.S. to author a book on the Vaccine Controversy in the 21st century and an article on the Empirical and Ethical Dimensions of Global Public Health. The article was published in the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics in 2012 and the book was published by Springer Publications in New York this year.

 

Dasgupta teaches at the Center for Social Medicine and Community Health in JNU, Delhi and spent his Fulbright-Nehru tenure at the John Hopkins University in Baltimore.
