India faces all the classical challenges of a tropical developing country: a growing population that is exerting increased pressure on natural resources, a fast-growing economy leading to pollution of air and water, problems of erosion and salinization, to name just a few. Ameliorating the situation is very complex as it involves an understanding of politics, socio-economics, and international trade. As a Fulbright-Nehru visiting lecturer Dr. Good will be associated with the Central University of Kerala. During her tenure there she will use real-world examples to cover global issues such as population growth, migrations, economic disparities, depletion of resources, endangered species and ecosystems, and international conflicts. Students will apply these information and skills learned in class to complete their assignments and projects
