Brief Bio:
Ms. Pamela Madsen graduated from Iowa State University in the fall of 2004 with a B.A. in music and anthropology. While in college, her most influential experience was participating in a service learning trip to Bolivia where she studied the charango, an Andean string instrument, and volunteered at an orphanage as a music and reading tutor. For the past six years, Pamela has lived in the Boston area where she works as a curatorial assistant at Harvard University's Houghton Library. She has been involved in music groups ranging from jazz to opera and three years ago, began studying bhangra, a Punjabi folk dance. She tutors ESL to high school students and adults and upon returning to the United States, will pursue a Masters of education in TESL at Simmons College.
