Brief Bio:
Ms. Joanna Stack is a recent college graduate from Knox College, Illinois. She graduated with a major in anthropology/sociology and a minor in Chinese studies. She has experience teaching english to speakers of other languages both domestically and abroad. Notably, she volunteered to teach english in Taiwan during the summer of 2010. This is when she gained a real passion for teaching. In her community, she volunteers on a weekly basis tutoring ESL to adult learners. She has many experiences travelling abroad and studying at Peking University in Beijing, China for one academic school year. While studying in China, Joanna volunteered tutoring english to the children of migrant workers living in Beijing. Joanna is very interested in learning about education systems around the world and she is also interested in intercultural exchanges. She hopes to one day work for an international non-profit organization. She is excited to gain more teaching experience in India and to experience a vivid and rich new culture.
