| Project Title: | Carbon Sequestration and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management under changing Climate using Simulation Modeling Approaches |
| Abstract of Project : | |
| Greenhouse gases emissions from agriculture have a negative impact on the environment. Maintaining both optimum crop yield and environmental safety is a great challenge. Climate change may make this challenge harder. I intend to use modeling approach to study the impact of cropping practices on GHG emission and carbon-sequestration potentials of the soils under different cropping practices and climate scenarios. On my return I wish to apply the knowledge learnt in USA in my own research locations in India to address few unanswered questions in the field of GHG management in Indian agriculture. | |
