5 June Virtual Learning by HACC (Audience: all) Join us for an on line session on how you can use MOOCS and virtual learning to enhance your US University experience! We will discuss the advantages of taking online courses at college, MOOCs and how they can help strengthen international student applications to college and lastly the financial advantages of online learning. The session will be presented by a representative of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.
12 June Graduate study in the U.S. Information session for prospective graduate students. This session will give students an understanding of graduate study options, how to choose a suitable university and the application process to graduate programs in the U.S.
19 June Graduate Standardized Tests: All you need to know about the GMAT and GRE Learn about the different graduate standardized tests, the test formats, scoring pattern, costs and more.
26 June Ways to Cut Costs in College Are you starting university this fall? Join us for a discussion on cost saving tips in the US. We will be joined by a student who will share his experiences with getting scholarships. We will also talk about how students can effectively manage their finances and expenditures once they get to the US.

Dr. Nirmala Shenoy, Professor with the Department of Networking Security and Systems Administration at the Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester New York will make a presentation and interact with students. This informative session is for students who will be applying for graduate studies at U.S. universities.

EducationUSA@USIEF Chennai invites you to a day-long session on Pre-Departure orientation to students who will be attending Fall 2015 academic year in U.S. Universities. This program will help students understand academic and socio-cultural life in the U.S. Students will get an opportunity to hear from U.S. University Alumni & U.S. Consulate Officials on travel arrangements, arrival formalities, settling in at the University, understanding the academic system and how to make the most of their time and education in the U.S.

Higher Education in the United States – 5Steps Overview"


This general session is targeted at prospective students, parents and our new student members, who are interested in understanding the higher education system in the United States and the process of applying to US institutions.

Deadline for registrations is July 7th 2015.
Important: Please be at the venue by half hour before the event begins and remember to bring your valid original photo ID like a driver's license/ Passport/Voter ID/PAN card/College ID/School ID along with your original USIEF membership card(for members) for entry into the American Consulate. The sessions will begin sharp at 3 p.m. and late-comers will not be allowed inside once the session begins. Parents accompanying the students, please do individual registrations to attend the session.
