ATTENTION STUDENTS!
USIEF ATTESTATION POLICY
* USIEF offers attestation service to Indian students to facilitate their application to U.S. institutions for admission to academic programs.
* USIEF will charge a fee of Rs. 40/- per attestation (per signature) with effect from November 1, 2008.
* USIEF will attest official credential documents awarded by Indian institutions recognized/ approved by UGC, AICTE or AIU only
* All credentials that are given by the awarding institution to all its students (irrespective of whether or not they apply of U.S. colleges or not) fall under the category "official credential document."
* Pass certificates and marks statements issued by recognized boards/ councils for 10th and 12th classes: degree certificates and marks statements from recognized post-secondary institutions are examples of official documents for attestations.
* EAS centers, if satisfied, accept the original documents, make photocopies of the document as per the request and deliver the attested copies to the student within seven working days after submission of documents by student.
* Each set of attestations will be delivered to the student along with an accompanying cover letter signed by the Education Adviser in a sealed envelope.
* This cover letter states that USIEF has made the best effort to check if the original certificate presented to USIEF was authentic.
* For reasons pertaining to non compliance of any of the above cited pre-conditions, USIEF reserves the right to refuse documents/credentials for attestiation.
