USIEF LIBRARY HOURS FOR MEMBERS: 9 am to 3.30 pm, Monday-Friday
 
USIEF FREE LIBRARY ACCESS: Non-members have limited access to the USIEF library. They will be able to consult printed books only from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, Monday to Friday. No other resources or facilities will be available. Non-members are required to bring a current photo identification for entry into the library. USIF reserves the right of admission to non-members.

New Attestation Policy

REVISED FEE & GUIDELINES EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 01, 2008

USIEF offers attestation services of academic and professional credentials of Indian students as per the following conditions: 

  • USIEF will charge a fee of Rs. 40/- per attestation.
  • USIEF will attest official credential documents awarded by Indian institutions recognized/approved by UGC, AICTE or AIU only.
  • All credentials that are given by the awarding institution to all its students (irrespective of whether or not they apply to U.S. colleges or not) fall under the category "official credential documents".
  • Pass certificates and marks statements issued by recognized boards/councils for 10th and 12th classes; degree certificates and marks statements from recognized post-secondary institutions are examples of official documents for attestation.
  • USIEF offices, if satisfied, will accept the original documents, make photocopies of the document as per the request and deliver the attested copies to the student on the next working day (or as directed by the office staff) after submission of documents by the student. (The original documents are generally returned on the same day of accepting the attestation order.)
  • Each set of attestations will be delivered to the student along with an accompanying cover letter signed by the Education Adviser in a sealed envelope.
  • This cover letter states that USIEF has made the best efforts to check whether the original credentials presented to USIEF were authentic.

For reasons pertaining to non-compliance of any of the above pre-conditions,

 USIEF reserves the right to refuse documents/credentials for attestation.
