The merit scholarship will be automatically renewed each year for a maximum total of 4 years as long as the student enrolls at the undergraduate level (these scholarships do not apply to ESL students) and maintains at least a 2.0 Grade Point Average (G.P.A). We have an international student scholarship for freshmen ($3,000 for the year, renewable), and several other incoming student scholarships are available through the Financial Assistance Office. To find out more about international student scholarships, visit: Feel free to contact: Brandeis University - Graduate Scholarship in International Health Policy & Management The Master of Science in International Health Policy & Management (IHPM) program is pleased to announce a competition in which a full tuition and fees scholarship will be awarded to an early mid-career development professional with a demonstrated commitment to effective health policy and management. The Scholarship for this one-year degree begins in August 2010. The MS program is designed to train students to take on increasingly responsible roles in health policy planning, and in the management of policy and program implementation in health ministries and planning organizations, multilateral and bilateral development organizations and NGOs. Students in this one-year program learn how to make the best use of policy analysis to determine which plans work, which are the most cost-effective and which are sensitive to a country's values and culture. The IHPM Scholar will receive full tuition and fee remission for the 2010/2011 academic year. The scholarship does NOT cover airfare, health insurance or any living expenses. Although nominations are encouraged from international and governmental development institutions and NGOs, self-nominations are accepted. Women and candidates with experience in policy, service delivery or education-related work with poor and vulnerable populations are especially encouraged to apply. Nominators may mail, fax (781-736-2774), or email (HellerAdmissions@Brandeis.edu) a letter of nomination to the Application Deadline: March 31, 2010 Contact: LINFIELD COLLEGE- UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Linfield College, a small private undergraduate institution in McMinnville, Oregon, offers partial tuition scholarships to qualified international students. The amount awarded is determined primarily by the student’s academic record as indicated on official transcripts, with some consideration also given to TOEFL or IELTS or SAT scores. The value of these awards ranges from $14,000 for an equivalent 3.4 GPA up to $20,000 for students with a 3.8 or higher GPA. A Campus Employment opportunity is usually added to the scholarship award, so the student can earn up to $2,520 per year by working on campus. The total cost at Linfield for the 2009-2010 year for an international student will be approximately $41,000. This amount covers all expected expenses, including the cost of the optional January Term, the required Linfield health insurance plan, and an estimated $1,100 for personal expenses.
