How Do I Become a Member?

If you are interested in pursuing your education in the U.S. then become a member of USIEF. You may just launch your career by finding the information and library resources you need.

For visiting members, the fee based membership plan for Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai is given below. For Delhi membership please see the home page, under scrolling

Free basic orientation program for all visitors.
Distribution of ETS test bulletins as and when available. Preference will be given to USIEF members if bulletins are in short supply
Sale of priced publications
Attestation of academic credentials @ Rs 40 per signature*
Library Reference services		Limited Access from 9-1 MON -FRI
Photocopying services @ Rs. 2 per page of permitted material (minimum fee Rs. 10)
Special group advising sessions/workshops/ Q and A sessions. This does not include pre-departure orientations
Individual advising appointments will be given only after: * Attending the basic orientation program which is open to all * Doing initial library research USIEF retains the right to determine the need and timings of appointment
Access to computerized educational databases (prior booking required)
Invitation to visits by accredited U.S. institutions at USIEF

Membership Requirements:

You are required to submit the requisite membership fee, a stamp sized photograph and a photo bearing student/work ID at the time of registration for membership. Please note that:

USIEF members are expected to bring along their membership card during each visit.
Please retain a photocopy of your USIEF membership card.
Students who lose their membership card will be allowed to use the photocopied version.
Those who cannot produce either of the two will be denied access to USIEF services until a fresh membership card is procured. No duplicate card will be issued under any circumstance.
USIEF reserves the right to revoke membership of a student who abuses library privileges or otherwise violates USIEF rules.
Timings, fees and services are subject to change.

*For attestation:

Academic certificates must be original, on the institutional letterhead, with official institutional seal and stamp and signed by the authorized signatory. USIEF will attest copies of academic certificates and mark sheets issued by recognized institutions listed in the Universities Handbook or the PIER report, professional organizations and institutions recognized by authorized recognition granting associations in India. USIEF reserves the right to determine the authenticity or propriety of a document at the time of accepting credentials.
