The Visiting Lecturer Program provides an opportunity for university faculty to teach courses in their field at undergraduate or graduate level. Preferred subjects are: Agricultural Sciences; Business Studies, Management and Leadership Development; Economics; Education; Energy, especially alternative and renewable energy; Environment; Governance and Democracy; Law and Civic Engagement; Media and Communications; Public Administration; Public Health; Science and Technology; Society and Development; Study of India; and Study of the United States.

Eligibility:
Education/Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent preferred with five or more years of teaching experience. Associate or full professor or the professional equivalent required.
Grant benefits:
Maintenance allowance of Rs. 24,000 per month (Additional allowance of Rs. 6,000 is provided as housing allowance for grantees affiliated in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad).
Dependent maintenance of Rs. 9,000 per month for each dependent up to a maximum of 3 dependents. Please note that dependent allowance is given only if the dependent stays for a minimum of 80% of the scholar's time in India.
Dollar supplementation allowance of $2,000 per month
Round-trip travel according to USIEF guidelines for grantee and up to two accompanying dependents (subject to dependents' minimum stay of 80 percent of grant duration in India)
Relocation allowance of $ 750
Health insurance for grantee only
Excess baggage allowance of $ 600 for 4-6 month grant and $ 350 for up to 4 month grant
