|Ms. Carolina Chica graduated with a B.A. in communication studies and women’s and gender studies from The College of New Jersey in 2012. As an undergraduate, Ms. Chica studied abroad for a semester at The American University, Egypt on a Gilman International Scholarship. She was also a member of service and honor societies: Alpha Phi Omega, Lambda Pi Eta, Iota Iota Iota and Phi Beta Kappa. She was a community advisor for the International House and a peer advisor for the Center for Global Engagement. In her free time, Ms. Chica loves to watch documentaries and volunteer at local animal shelters.
Through her Fulbright research project, “For a Better Tomorrow: Analysis on Non-profit Organizations for Women and Children,” Ms. Chica hopes to study a non-profit organization that focuses on the physical and social well-being of women and children. She will not only volunteer at a non-profit, but also examine the impact that non-profit work has on the people served.
