Study Objectives:
I aspire to transform governance in India by leading from the front as a bold and new age policy maker in critical socio-economic areas of development–health, education and industry – sectors I have grown to understand through my educational and professional experience. Governments to me are like enormous businesses where the complexity of issues is challenging and magnitude of impact overwhelming. As a policy maker I want to be able to apply business principles to solve complex problems faced by governments. Through a joint MBA/MPA course in the U.S., I will be able to develop a strong foundation in policy analysis and administration, further my understanding of macro level issues and multi-sectoral linkages, learn from best practice models and bring solutions to India. With this new knowledge and an expanded global network, I plan to return to India to embark on my journey to substantially impact policy making process.
